This information is going to help me become more focused on who I am, what my career target should be, and give me the confidence to reach for the stars! It is helping to lift myself out of the vast head count of the unemployed and into a seeker of my next opportunity! Thank you!

When I read this kind of blogs one question has come into my mind. That is this is almost similar with what we taught in business class. Any ways I like this writing. It is very informative.

I read a recent study which polled "Generation Y" Americans about their hopes, dreams, worries, etc. What is most interesting is a baffling 59% of GenY-ers polled answered yes to "I believe I will become famous in my lifetime." 59 PERCENT!!! Self-celebrity has literally become an epidemic of delusional obsession for the larger part of our younger generations. And unfortunately, true expertise in blogging is rare to find. That might be the veil, but underneath it usually seems to revolve around a desire for self-expression and a chance at the fame game. Anyway, I had to share... 59% is absolutely baffling to me!

Yeah, I don't think it' so much about being a "celebrity" but rather being an expert in your field. I wouldn't really consider a widely renowned author a celebrity. I guess they are, but I don't think Malcolm Gladwell or Stephen Covey have paparazzi around them 24/7.

It's interesting to me that a lot of Generation Y seems to want to develop their personal brand as their business. In some ways, we seem to be obsessed with being a celebrity, whether online, on tv, or in real life. Can't say that I'm exempt from that though... ;)
