EMT/AEMT Refresher Courses

Offered in Fall semester

 

EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN (EMT 1118) 
(Course: CEI-141A)

 

This is a one semester (15 week) certificate program designed to prepare students for employment as an Emergency Medical Technician in a medical transport facility or agency. The cost of the program is $1200.  Application must be completed by July for admission to the Fall class and by November for the Spring class.  For additional information call (662) 621-4049.

This program meet on Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with additional time dedicated to clinical rotations which will be arranged. 

Students who apply for the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Program must meet the following requirements:

  1. Completed application
  2. Official copy of high school transcript or Official GED passing scores
  3. ACT score of 16 or higher will be accepted in place of the Test for Adult Basic Education (TABE) test.
    1. While we do accept the TABE test for admissions to the EMT program, the ACT score is perferred. 
  4. Copy of Drivers License
  5. Social Security Card
  6. Immunization Record showing:
    1. MMR
    2. Hepatitis B series (can be completed after entry to program)
    3. Varicella or chicken pox shot or titers (can be completed after entry to program)
    4. 2-step TB skin test
    5. Flu Shot

THESE REQUIREMENTS ARE DUE BY THE 4TH CLASS MEETING.
